Bogie type furnaces for metal hardening
Electric and gas-fired furnaces with a bogie hearth are designed for the thermal processing of medium to large and heavy parts in both single and batch production. Compared to chamber furnaces, loading is easier and can be done using a crane or forklift. These types of furnaces are used for hardening, tempering, pre-forging heating, normalizing, and other thermal treatment processes. These furnaces are heavier, have a stronger construction, and better resistance to thermal shocks compared to similar ceramic and glass furnaces, which is essential when working with heavy loads. Higher power ensures very quick temperature recovery after loading the parts. The chamber is equipped with vents or valves for smoke removal during heating.
