Hexagonal crucible furnaces are used with casting machines as melting or molten aluminum holding furnaces. Metal ingots are placed, or liquid metal is poured into a ceramic crucible located in the furnace, which is heated by electricity or gas. Crucible furnaces can be used for melting aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals. Hexagonal furnaces are more convenient for operating personnel compared to square ones.
